COACHING, DEVELOPMENT, TRAINING AND GRADING
Welcome to the Caboolture Sports Soccer Club for the 2010 season. The Coaching Development Committee (CDC) has been working non stop through out the off season making sure that we have everything in place for you for the coming 2010 season. My name is Andrew Davies and I am the Chairman of the CDC. The role of the CDC is to organise and coordinate football operations within the Caboolture Sports Soccer Club (CSSC).
During the off season the CDC has employed four part time Coaching Development Officers (CDO’s). Sam Torres is the Small Sided Football (SSF) CDO which is responsible for all coaches within the age groups of under 6 through to under 10. Cleberson Souza Santos is the Junior CDO which is responsible for all coaches within the age groups of under 11 through to under 16. Peter Homan is the Women’s CDO which is responsi-ble for all coaches within the age groups of under 11 girls through to Senior Women. And Terry Wilcomes is the Senior Men’s CDO which is responsible for all coaches within the age groups of under 17 through to Senior Men.
The role’s of the CDO’s is to produce coaching plans for our team coaches and implement the plans, support the team coaches, and assist where required in making sure that the coaching plans are followed. Their roles do not include coaching individual teams or players. The CDO’s will also be responsible for player gradings along with selected CDC representatives. Each CDO has a supporting representative from the CDC. Gary Wakeling is the CDC representative for SSF and Sam Torres. Simon Rawlings is the CDC representative for Juniors and Cleberson Souza Santos. Neville Male is the CDC representative for Women’s and Peter Homan. And Dwayne Sayers is the CDC representative for Senior’s and Terry Wilcomes.
All CDC representatives are there to assist their CDO’s and to also help where required with team coaches. All CDC committee members are committed to ensure the success of the new program for 2010, and all members are very approachable to discuss any ideas or suggestions that may improve the way that we run football operations within the club in the future.
The Grading Policy is on page 12 of this document and it is available on our web site. Please read it carefully so there is no confusion in regards to the grading of players.
The U9 & U10 Development Squad’s were introduced into the Club in 2007 and they have been a great success. If you wish to try out for the Squad this year, please refer to the procedures in the Grading Policy and training times below.

Small Sided Football Teams
Under 6, 7, 8, 9, &10 age groups are not graded*. Chil-dren are encouraged to play with their friends. If a child played in a team the previous year, they are encouraged to remain together the following year, if the child and parents are happy to stay with that team. The CDO or CDC will allocate placement of all new players coming to the club. If team numbers change due to player num-bers, the CDO or CDC will make a decision in regards to the placement of a child.
Under 6, 7 and 8 play small sided games (SSG), which are modified to encourage more par-ticipation for players. Most games are played at home on Saturday, reducing travel to a minimum.
*excluding U9 & U10 development teams.
