Caboolture Soccer - How to manager your team page!

Managing your own team page is quite easy even for the, "I'm not real good with computers" brigade!

Firstly you need agree to the conditions then we will issue you with your Log In and Password.

IMPORTANT....NO SERIOUSLY THIS IS IMPORTANT....
Pictures..."we love em, we want em" but please ensure they are of an appropriate size. Taking a photo with your digital camera on the largest setting will be way too big for the web site, it will take ages to upload, ages for your web page to be viewed and will impact on the web site as a whole.

If you don't know how to resize your images the absolute easiest way is to use this FREE tool from efpage. The link for the actual download is here.
Please use the sizing of 640 X 480. We will be monitoring web perormance content size of pages and so forth so that web speed is at its optimum.

 

Go to your teams page, you should be seeing a list of these over to the right of you now.
At the bottom of the page enter your login and password that you have been given.
Once logged in an edit page icon appears. Click this and the editor will appear.

HINT: Hold your shift key while you click on your team page this will open the team page in a new window so you can click between the two pages.
If you have two monitors set up you can view both pages at the same time other wise to easily switch back and forth use your "alt" + "tab" key combinations.

First put some information in about your team. Click on the first icon as circled

 

This will open the page below.

 

Name: You can enter whatever name you desire for your team.

Description: Here you can put text, images and links on your page. If you are familiar with MS Word or similar you should have no trouble. How to use this editor and insert pictures etc is shown here.

Please note that you can not copy and past images from your hard drive or office programs etc. These must be uploaded using the image icon which is circled in the image above.

At the bottom of the page you can Save your page Cancel to not save or Save and Finish to save and go back to start entering your player details.

 

Adding Players
The best thing to do first is upload all images of your players in one go. If you don't have them yet or they don't want their photos on the page, it's no problem you can do it anytime.
Clicking the "Upload Images" link will open another window where you can browse your hard drive for player photos.

 

 

You can upload up to 10 of thes at at time. When done simply close the window.

 

With your images uploaded you can now add your players. Click the Add member link and complete the details shown.

 

Now you can come back any time to add information.
You will find it much less of a chore to dedicate a lazy Sunday afternoon to just uploading images and entering the information for the Players.
